Welcome to Charlie’s Movie Reviews.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of charliesmoviereviews.com and the services, features, reviews, comments, reactions, movie information, and other content available through the website (collectively, the “Site”).

The Site is operated by BIC Resources Corp, referred to in these Terms as “Charlie’s Movie Reviews,” “CMR,” “we,” “us,” or “our.”

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use features of the Site that require acceptance of these Terms.

1. Purpose of Charlie’s Movie Reviews

Charlie’s Movie Reviews is a family-friendly movie review and discussion community.

The Site may include:

  • movie reviews written by Charlie and other approved reviewers;

  • movie information obtained from third-party sources;

  • community comments and reactions;

  • reviewer accounts;

  • registered-user accounts;

  • moderated discussions;

  • trailers or links to trailers; and

  • other movie-related features.

Our goal is to provide an enjoyable environment where people can share opinions about movies while keeping participation appropriate for a broad family audience.

2. Accounts

Certain Site features may require an account.

You agree to provide accurate information when reasonably required for your account and to keep your login credentials secure.

You are responsible for activity occurring through your account unless the activity results from circumstances outside your reasonable control.

You may not:

  • share an account in a way that creates a safety or security problem;

  • impersonate another person;

  • create an account using another person’s identity or contact information without authorization;

  • attempt to obtain another user’s password;

  • bypass account restrictions; or

  • use an account to violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

We may restrict or disable an account when reasonably necessary for safety, security, moderation, or enforcement of these Terms.

3. Age and Parental Considerations

Charlie’s Movie Reviews is intended to be family-friendly, but independent account creation is not automatically available to children of every age.

Unless we have specifically established an appropriate parent- or guardian-authorized process, children under 13 may not independently create an account, submit reviews or comments, or provide personal information through the Site.

Users under the age of legal majority should use the Site with appropriate parent or guardian involvement.

If you are a parent or legal guardian who permits a minor to use the Site, you should review these Terms and the Community Guidelines with them and supervise their use of the Site as appropriate.

A child or teenager may participate as an authorized reviewer under arrangements made with a parent, guardian, or Site administrator. Such participation does not mean that children under 13 are generally authorized to create their own accounts.

If we learn that an account or submission creates a child-safety or privacy concern, we may restrict the account, remove information, contact a parent or guardian when appropriate, or take other protective steps.

4. Reviewer Submissions

A Reviewer account may allow an authorized user to draft and submit movie reviews.

Submitting a review does not guarantee that the review will be published.

Reviews may be subject to:

  • automated safety screening;

  • profanity and inappropriate-content screening;

  • personal-information detection;

  • adult moderation;

  • factual or formatting review;

  • requests for revision; and

  • final approval before publication.

Reviewers do not have an automatic right to publish directly to the public Site unless we expressly provide that capability.

We may decline, delay, return, restrict, or remove a review when we reasonably believe doing so is appropriate for safety, quality, legal, operational, or community reasons.

5. Comments, Reactions, and Other User Content

Registered users may be able to submit comments, reactions, and other material.

Comments may be moderated before appearing publicly.

By submitting content, you represent that:

  • the content is yours or you have permission to submit it;

  • your submission does not violate another person’s rights;

  • the content complies with these Terms and our Community Guidelines; and

  • you are not intentionally including information that creates a privacy or safety risk.

We do not guarantee that any comment or submission will be published or remain published.

6. Permission to Display Submitted Content

You retain whatever ownership rights you have in original content you submit.

By voluntarily submitting content for publication on Charlie’s Movie Reviews, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, publish, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the Site and its community features.

This permission also allows us to make technical or formatting changes needed to display content properly.

We may moderate, redact, or remove portions of submitted content to address personal information, safety issues, prohibited material, or violations of these Terms.

This license does not transfer ownership of your original content to Charlie’s Movie Reviews.

7. Community Standards

All community participation is subject to our Community Guidelines.

Among other things, users may not submit content involving:

  • bullying or harassment;

  • threats;

  • profanity or inappropriate sexual content;

  • hate or abusive attacks;

  • personal contact information;

  • attempts to identify or locate another user;

  • spam or deceptive promotions;

  • impersonation;

  • predatory or grooming behavior;

  • instructions or encouragement for unsafe conduct;

  • malicious links or code;

  • illegal activity; or

  • attempts to circumvent moderation or safety systems.

Context matters, and we may make moderation decisions based on the safety and purpose of the community as a whole.

8. Moderation

Charlie’s Movie Reviews is a moderated community.

We may use automated tools as well as human review to evaluate submissions.

We reserve the right to:

  • approve or reject submissions;

  • delay publication;

  • remove published material;

  • disable comments;

  • redact personal information;

  • restrict features;

  • suspend or terminate accounts; and

  • take other reasonable steps to protect users or the Site.

Moderation systems are not perfect. The fact that content appears on the Site does not mean that Charlie’s Movie Reviews endorses it or guarantees that it complies with every rule.

9. Reviewer Opinions

Movie reviews reflect the opinions of their individual authors.

A review is not a statement of objective fact merely because it is published on Charlie’s Movie Reviews.

Different people may have very different reactions to the same movie.

Ratings, recommendations, observations, and statements such as “Must See,” “Good,” “OK to Miss,” “Pass,” or similar descriptions are subjective opinions.

Charlie’s Movie Reviews does not guarantee that you or your family will agree with a particular review or recommendation.

Parents and guardians remain responsible for deciding which movies are appropriate for members of their own family.

10. Movie Ratings and Content Information

Movie ratings, release information, genre descriptions, cast information, summaries, posters, trailers, and other movie-related information may come from third-party sources.

Such information may occasionally be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.

Official movie ratings may also have different meanings in different countries or jurisdictions.

Charlie’s Movie Reviews is not a substitute for a parent or guardian making an individual decision about whether a particular movie is appropriate for a child.

11. TMDb

Charlie’s Movie Reviews uses information supplied through The Movie Database (“TMDb”) and the TMDb APIs.

TMDb may provide movie titles, artwork, metadata, cast information, release information, descriptions, and related content.

This website uses TMDb and the TMDb APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDb.

TMDb content and trademarks remain subject to the rights of their respective owners.

12. YouTube and Other Third-Party Services

The Site may display or link to movie trailers or other material hosted by YouTube or another third-party service.

Selecting such a link may take you away from Charlie’s Movie Reviews.

Third-party websites and services operate under their own terms, privacy policies, content standards, and technical requirements.

We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their availability, content, advertising, data practices, or actions.

Parents and guardians should supervise younger users who follow links to outside services.

13. Intellectual Property

Except for user-submitted content and third-party material, the Site’s original design, branding, text, graphics, software, logos, layouts, and other original materials are owned by or licensed to Charlie’s Movie Reviews and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Movie titles, posters, still images, trailers, studio marks, character names, and other entertainment-related intellectual property may belong to movie studios, distributors, performers, TMDb contributors, video platforms, or other rights holders.

Nothing on Charlie’s Movie Reviews transfers ownership of third-party intellectual property to us or to Site users.

You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, commercially exploit, or create unauthorized derivative works from protected Site content except as permitted by law or with appropriate permission.

14. Copyright Concerns

We respect intellectual-property rights.

If you believe material appearing on Charlie’s Movie Reviews infringes your copyright or other intellectual-property rights, please contact:

We may remove or restrict disputed material while a complaint is reviewed.

15. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use Charlie’s Movie Reviews to:

  • violate applicable law;

  • harass, threaten, exploit, or endanger another person;

  • seek personal or private information from a minor;

  • engage in grooming, predatory, or sexually inappropriate behavior;

  • impersonate another person;

  • post another person’s private information;

  • transmit malware or malicious code;

  • attempt unauthorized access to accounts, servers, or systems;

  • interfere with Site security or moderation;

  • evade suspensions or restrictions;

  • scrape or collect information in an abusive manner;

  • send spam;

  • manipulate reactions, ratings, or participation;

  • submit content you do not have the right to submit; or

  • use the Site in a manner inconsistent with its family-friendly purpose.

16. Suspension and Termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to some or all Site features when we reasonably believe a user has:

  • violated these Terms;

  • violated the Community Guidelines;

  • created a safety concern;

  • misused another person’s information;

  • attempted to circumvent moderation or security;

  • engaged in repeated inappropriate conduct; or

  • exposed the Site or its users to legal or operational risk.

Serious safety concerns may result in immediate restriction without a warning.

17. Availability of the Site

We try to keep Charlie’s Movie Reviews available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.

The Site, features, accounts, third-party integrations, movie information, and community functions may occasionally be unavailable, changed, corrected, or discontinued.

18. Disclaimer

Charlie’s Movie Reviews is provided primarily for entertainment, information, and community discussion.

Reviews and recommendations are opinions.

We do not guarantee:

  • that every statement appearing on the Site is accurate;

  • that movie metadata supplied by third parties is complete or current;

  • that every trailer or external link will remain available;

  • that a particular movie is appropriate for a particular viewer;

  • that all objectionable content will always be detected before publication; or

  • that the Site will operate without interruption or error.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Site and its content are provided on an “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Charlie’s Movie Reviews, its operator, and persons involved in operating the Site will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to use of the Site, third-party content, third-party services, user submissions, or inability to access the Site.

Any limitation applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain limitations or exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to every user.

20. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, an adult user who knowingly uses the Site in violation of these Terms or submits material that infringes another person’s rights may be responsible for resulting claims, damages, or reasonable expenses.

This provision should not be interpreted to impose obligations on a minor that applicable law does not permit.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Site develops or as legal, safety, or operational requirements change.

The Effective Date at the top of this page will indicate when the Terms were most recently revised.

For significant changes, we may also provide a notice through the Site or through another reasonable method.

22. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Any jurisdiction or venue provision included in the final version of these Terms should be interpreted subject to laws protecting consumers and minors.

Our collection and handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms an important part of the rules governing use of Charlie’s Movie Reviews.
